Nobody pays during the beta, and every account has the limits of the paid plan. Here is exactly what that is, and what each plan will include after the beta, so nothing surprises you.
During the beta

No monthly allowance of AI actions. Every capture is read and filed, every voice note written out, every search by meaning. Every account has a ceiling of 500 AI actions a day, on any plan.
10 device keys. For a ring, a watch, a Shortcut or a script, with 2,000 captures a day on each.
Everything else. Unlimited capture, the whole web app, export in five formats, and rules that send captures on to a webhook.
After the beta
When the beta ends, each account has the limits of its own plan. Nothing you have captured is lost: a limit only changes how much is read by a model.

Unlimited capture. In the web app, typed, said, a picture or a link.
Export, whole account. JSON, CSV, Markdown, vCard and ICS, whenever you like.
100 AI actions a month. Past 100, nothing stops: filing falls back to BrainCrumb's own rules, search by words keeps working, and a voice note is kept with its recording.
1 device key. With 50 captures a day. Enough for one button or one Shortcut.

An AI action is one reading by a model: filing a capture, writing out a voice note, or searching by meaning. Rules that send captures on to a webhook work on every plan. Sending them by email is not switched on yet.

Place is off until you say
In the web app a capture keeps where you were only once you switch that on, and your browser asks you first. Only the coordinates are kept, with the name you give a place.
Read to be filed, never to train
Software reads each capture to file it and to make search work, on Cloudflare's machines. Your captures are not used to train AI models.
Named, every one
Captures are kept on Cloudflare, sign-in is Clerk, and the privacy policy names every other service and what each one sees.
No ads, nothing sold
There are no advertising identifiers and no tracking across other apps or sites. Your data is not sold.
Leave any time, with all of it
Export everything you have captured, on every plan, in five formats. Delete one thing and it waits in Trash for 30 days. Delete your account yourself, in Settings, and its data goes with it.
